The hotel is suitable for those looking for a budget-friendly option, but there are several areas that need improvement. The décor feels dated, and the rooms are quite dark with an overall dingy atmosphere. The bathrooms are old and showed signs of mould, which was disappointing. There was also only one working UK plug socket in the room, which proved inconvenient.
The shuttle service to Al Haram Mosque is direct, which is helpful; however, it’s around a 10-15 minute walk from the bus drop-off point to the mosque itself. After Isha, be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes for a bus due to demand, although the journey back to the hotel is only about 6 minutes.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were generally friendly and welcoming. The food was average but acceptable for a hotel in this price range.
Overall, it’s a reasonable option if you are prioritising cost over comfort and modern facilities.
