We really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru. The Kyoto Station location was a short walking distance from the train station. Mitsu at the front desk was super helpful. The staff all spoke great English. The beds were on the firm side if that is something you prefer.

We do not speak Japanese, but the person at the front desk checked my family of four in efficiently and spoke English.. she explained everything and was very personable and kind. The four-bed room was comfortable and clean-we even rented the Apple TV so we could watch Netflix and Hulu! The location is right across from the train station-very convenient. We checked out and left our luggage there to go shopping for a few hours before heading out to Osaka. This is a fabulous place and we would certainly stay here again!

We were disappointed in this property (we had just transfered from Mimaru Asakusa Station) & we found the staff not as helpful, the tap was broken in the kitchen & the over vibe of the place was not as good as the previous hotel. The location is very central though.

Room was exceptionally clean. The staff was the best. They were so polite and helpful. Love the set up of the kitchen area and having a laundry area onsite was a major plus.

We loved our stay at this hotel and found it a great base to explore Kyoto with our two children. Rooms were perfect for a family of 4, clean and well equipped. Great view of the shinkansens out the window, lovely friendly staff and super easy access to the station.
