Fantástico Online pics showed a room with a desk but mine had only a bench and small low table. I asked the front desk staff to help with making a reservation and they refused and instead wanted me to use a QR code for a reservation service that did not have the restaurant listed. They just stared at me blankly.

Great amenities (public bath, laundry, gym) and terrific location -- this place is a game-winner on your next trip to Otaru!

The hotel itself is not too bad with clean and reasonably sized rooms. Entry by car was hard to find and on my last day after checkout, staff was almost forcing me to take my car out of their carpark even though I have parked there for less then 24 hours and said if I left car any longer I will have to pay an hourly rate. Not great experience.

Recently updated rooms, a little small but not too small. Breakfast is great and lots of parking onsite for a fee.

I had booked a room at another hotel. It was horrible! So bad in fact I could not spend 1 single night there. I switched to the Granbell. The place was clean and well kept. I really appreciate the staff accomodating me.
