Great location, only 5min walk to closest subway station. Great hosts who were very responsive and gave us a lot of great recommendations on matcha ceremony and sake tasting. Not to mention there are 4 complimentary activities included (matcha, sake, fan painting, and card game). Unit is small but very cozy if you want to experience sleeping on futons.

Fantástico We loved our stay at Saju Kyoto. We arrived early and they looked after our bags until it was time to check in. When we checked in we were served matcha tea and Japanese cakes in our room. The room was very tiny but so comfortable, cosy and traditional. The futons were the most comfortable beds we had during all our time in Japan!
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers free sake and tea tasting which were both a lot of fun, we looked forward to coming back to the hotel every evening to do another tasting!
The location is great, on a quiet street, very close to the subway and within walking distance of a lot of tourist attractions and places to eat.
We would love to stay here again one day :)

Fantástico We loved staying at Saju Kyoto. It is in a nice neighborhood with many dining options, stores and other amenities nearby. Getting to a metro was just a short walk away. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful staff working there. They were all friendly, always happy to chat with you and see how your day went. They were quick to answer questions and worked hard to research information they didn't have any immediate answer for. We would definitely stay there again.

Very convenient location. Clean ryokan that offers unique experience. We got to try complimentary sake tasting, fan painting, matcha making, and tea tasting! Very friendly staff as well.
