We stayed at this hotel as a base for a weeklong trip across Nice, Monaco, Menton and Cannes and it was everything we needed. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, clean and modern, with incredibly spacious rooms with lots of natural light. The room we had also had the best air conditioning I have ever experienced. Not only did it work well, but it was whisper quiet. You didn't know it was on until 2 minutes later when the room was chilled! The staff were super helpful and friendly, and we ate at the rooftop bar for lunch on our first day. The portions were large and the food was tasty, with nice decor around with plenty of trees for shade. Location wise, I am not sure it could be beat. Its right next to Nice train station, making travelling on train across the coast super easy to do. Its also a 15 minute walk from the beach of Nice / old town / landmarks. A 1 minute walk from the local tram line too. Its surrounded by restaurants on all sides, and even has a Five Guys / cookie shop / ice cream shop / Vietnamese restaurant on its ground floor. Overall if we returned to Nice for another visit, we would look to stay at this hotel.

So helpful, so friendly

The Hilton DoubleTree was a great hotel. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I especially loved its convenient location near the Nice train station, which made it easy to catch a train and visit nearby towns. While it’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the shore at a brisk pace, the overall experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice.

I recently enjoyed a two-night stay at this hotel and wanted to share some highlights. Having paid for a city-view room, I was delighted to discover that my actual view consisted of train tracks. Even better, the room appeared to be located inside a giant illuminated advertising display, ensuring that I could enjoy ambient neon lighting throughout the night, even when the curtains were closed. The room itself was lovely, but the experience was elevated further by the housekeeping cart permanently stationed outside my door. This thoughtful arrangement provided convenient access to cleaning supplies, fresh linens, and a rotating display of guests' used towels. Dinner was equally memorable. While other diners were served promptly, I was given the opportunity to practice patience and self-advocacy by inquiring how one goes about receiving service. Once my order was taken, I was treated to cold Irish coffee and cold food. When asked whether I ate raw fish and stated I did not, the kitchen thoughtfully seared the outside while preserving the interior's commitment to authenticity. The hotel's concern for my well-being was particularly touching. After informing staff that I did not require housekeeping service during my short stay, I received a note alerting me that if I continued to decline entry, staff would enter the room to ensure I was not damaging property or engaged in other suspicious activities. It is reassuring to know that such vigilance is extended to paying guests!

Great location. Spacious rooms and nice staff.

Overall clean and modern, and great service. However it was so hot at night, and the AC was stuck at 20deg C. So we didn’t sleep well, but overall ok. Breakfast was rubbish to be honest best eating from outside somewhere. I think for the price, I wouldn’t come back here again.

Fantastic hotel in Nice right next to the train station. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel for my wife and I as we tried to explore Cote d'Azur. Super luxurious and comfortable.

Really good breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel is well located, close to train station & tram & within easy distance of shopping & places to eat. It’s an easy enough walk to old town & the beach area. There’s a good vibe around the area also. We didn’t eat at the hotel but staff were very helpful & the hotel was in good condition & comfortable.
