Fantástico Where do I start about collective retreat from the time I got off the ferry they had a golf cart waiting for me. Took me to the retreat. I got the most beautiful tent now. Mind you this is outdoors. It’s grassy,it’s dusty. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but the view was amazing. The tent was comfortable, but let’s talk about the staff, and I got names to mention 101/10 all across the board.. these are all kids working here. (now I’m just calling them kids because I’m older than them. They were like in their 20s early 30s so their kids in my eyes LOL )I’m telling you they’re doing the cooking. The cleaning greeting is making sure all staff is comfortable. I never had experienced something like this before. Just literally on Governors Island. It was amazing experience.Musa the GM , Leeds, an amazing crew .Then there is Jordan,Deona ,Aaliyay,Zaby,,Manuel,Nat,Awa
Alton and Joshua. and how could we forget the maintenance guys and the Housekeeper just an amazing experience the only thing make sure you come with your own little night snack snacks what they offer is not worth seven dollars that’s my only thing and give us some bug spray, LOL but I would have to say my 48th birthday was amazing. They made it so special and I left with a little goodie bag. I so love this place literally on Governors Island. OH, AND THE RESTAURANT THE FOOD IS LITERALLY COOKED IN FRONT OF YOU FRESH AND THEY ALL WORK AS A TEAM TO MAKE EVERYTHING GO SO SMOOTH SO PLEASANT WHILE YOU ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY

Estupendo Unique experience, worth doing once just for the view and to see the island at night after the crowds leave. There was some difficulty with logistics at check in. There are rats by the fire pits at night but that’s NYC for you. Our tent was clean with a great bed and air conditioner.

Estupendo We had a great time! The place could definitely use more staff. The people there were working hard but there weren’t enough people to properly service guests.
Our bathroom didn’t have running water but they quickly upgraded us, which was very nice.

Fantástico This was a beautiful peaceful stay. I recommended this place to a few people do to how peaceful it was. I loved it soo much. The staff were extremely helphful

From start to end this was a disappointment. When we arrived our booking thru expedia never reached the concierge desk and had to go on a call for half hour and get it sorted. The room I had booked was then not available. We were given the family suite to make up for the error but when we got to the tent, approx 6pm the housekeeping had not come yet, we had to wait again for the room to be cleaned, inside the bungalow there was no toilet paper, no water, no tissues and floor was dirty - had to reach out to housekeeping again. I have pictures to show the tent walls were not connected and there were mosquitos all over the inside - we could not sleep in it at all.
When we went to dinner, we ordered the steak for two - at $150, we could only eat 3 slices as the rest was all fat and waited over an hour for it to come out. I showed the waitress, but she could not understand what I was saying. The smores after dinner where a nice touch, too bad the logs for the fire where all thrown on wet grounds so it was more smoke than fire.

Por debajo del promedio We had two tents, the smaller one had no heater and eventually got completely soaked, the beds were wet. Three people from the group (of 5) went home because there was nowhere to sleep
