Murrieta Hot Springs Resort

The resort itself is beautiful, albeit poorly executed… It felt like there were ten thousand pools at this place and only two regular temp pools, and neither of them were open after hours. Everything else was piping hot. Which if this was Aspen or Anchorage, would be great — but it’s So Cal and it was 95 degrees every day we were there. So we felt a bit limited in that aspect. And the staff, and more importantly their policies, were not what we were expecting. For $400-500 per night you’d think they’d be more open to an early check-in…especially since the hotel was not at full capacity / sold out. But instead all 3 groups of friends were forced to wait until after 4pm to get into their rooms. Not cool.

Nice service from the staff. The green areas are a little run down but very nice and accessible. The room was nice but the bed was hard for us.

Welcoming Staff, Great Food, and a Room Choice Worth Knowing About The staff across the entire property were a highlight, check-in was smooth and the food service teams at Guenther’s Lounge, Brew 1902, Café Azuli, and The Tortoise Shell were all attentive and friendly. Breakfast at Brew 1902 was excellent, and The Tortoise Shell kept drinks moving quickly without having to flag anyone down. The bunk bed room was comfortable, but a practical note for future guests: Murrieta Hot Springs welcomes families, which is great, just know that if you’re booking for a quiet, restorative getaway, the bunk bed rooms may not be your best fit. Opt for a different room type if a peaceful retreat is the goal. Would stay again, the service alone makes it worth it.
