B&B Crociferi Catania

Authentic, Sicilian accommodations which reminded my husband of his grandparents. Clean and spacious living room and bedroom. Great location for restaurants. Difficult to locate if you need to park as GPS gives directions to road that ends with stairs and does not go through to the building and courtyard. Elevator sign stated it was “out of order”, however the owner had us use it for our luggage and then had us climb 2 flights of stairs to our room. There was no explanation given for the “out of order” sign when the elevator clearly worked. The owner asked us not to open the French doors because there weren’t any screens on them, which was fine. She also reminded us that electricity was very expensive. Around 10:00 pm, after we returned from dinner, we realized that both remotes for the air conditioning units in the living room and bedroom had been removed from their wall mounts and we felt it was too late to contact the owners so we did sleep with the French doors open. Unsure if the reason for the “out of order” elevator sign and the missing air conditioning remotes was due to the price of electricity.

The location was excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hostess is gracious and ready with excellent recommendations. It was also nice to share breakfast with other guests. We would absolutely go back again.

This B&B’s location is hard to beat. You’re moments away from Via Etenea, about 5 mins from the Duomo and less than a minute from fantastic draft beer at the corner of Via Crociferi. The rooms are wonderfully decorated - with a lightly off-beat, personal touch. Shower pressure - because that does really matter - is fab. One thing to be aware of - the property doesn’t have external bathrooms so once you’re checked out, you’re done.

An amazing stay in Catania. Hated to leave our beautiful rooftop apartment. Lots of stairs but totally worth it. Our hostess Teresa was wonderful, friendly and efficient.

Our host had to walk to help us park our car as Google Maps didn't recognize the street access but our hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The room was great and our hosts helped us park the car. It was not easy exiting the hotel to get out of Catania as Google Maps had us go round in circles. We think this BnB is best accessed on foot or by taxi

Wonderful! The host was amazing and the garden suite was so beautiful.

Clean room in a convenient location. Furnishings were eclectic and decorative but not functionally optimal (e.g., no desk, few and inconveniently located electrical outlets). No passenger elevator is available. A/C was not offered during a stay in May. Four (conventional) keys are required to access the room from the street, a considerable inconvenience. Internet service was unacceptably poor. Breakfast at this B&B cost extra and was not tried.

I stayed 2 nights at B&B Crociferi. The B&B was in a convenient location with easy access to the old town and Via Etna where the shops are. The room was big and had a lovely view of the street outside. Teresa, the host was very friendly and helpful.

The property was very beautiful. It was clean. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. They seemed extremely concerned about safety, and electricity, everything was unplugged and kitchen not usable. It was noisy but I think that’s to be expected. It was very hard to find, would have been better if there were directions on how to enter property and driving and parking. Teresa was very helpful, kind & responded quickly.
