Mission Bay Inn San Diego (Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach/Mission Bay)

Property and rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok but it was exactly the same every day. Pool and hot tub were clean but we wish it was opened later, but 9pm was not unreasonable. We would definitely stay again.

The front desk staff wasn’t particularly friendly. They weren’t rude, but they didn’t make us feel very welcome. The hotel is in good condition, and considering the price, I would stay there again. The parking was excellent.

Pool and spa needs to redone

Room nicely updated. Mattress and pillows uncomfortable. Room had a musty, smoky odor that permeated clothes. Parking was tight. Hot tub loosing surface.

Overall, we had a good stay. The room was clean and decent, and the air conditioning worked extremely well, which made the room very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, and the coffee was surprisingly nice, although the breakfast options were the same each day. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was adequate for a short stay. One thing to note is that the main parking lot is a bit tight if you have an SUV or truck, so I'd recommend using the side parking lot if it's available. Overall, a pleasant stay and a good value.

Although the rooms do "look" nice enough, they were filthy. My daughter spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up the wash cloth was black. The hallways were also clearly never cleaned even though there was always a cleaning cart blocking the halls. The continental breakfast was mediocre. One day the sausage and eggs were great. The next day the sausage literally still had ice crystals throughout. The coffee was riddled with grounds. My key cards were deactivated part way through our stay randomly. When I went to get that fixed she stated that they must have been demagnetized but i had one that had only been kept in the room and it too was off. So they must have mis programmed for the wrong date. Annoying to have to go to the desk again... The pool and spa were not maintained. They had up yellow caution tape surrounding the spa ADA chair lift and bags of dusty concrete. Definitely not up to code. I will never stay here again and I'm so sad I wasted my money on this run down place.
