What better way to delve into our port city’s past than with a line-up of tipples and treats? Join us on Port Cities Food: A Culinary Pairing Journey down Middle Road, a guided tour through Middle Road, once home to the Malay, Japanese, Jewish, Arabic, European communities, and Hainanese immigrants.

As a toast to the past, we’ll raise a glass of rum – a traditional naval libation – and encounter novel kueh and cocktail (or mocktail) pairings, accompanied by stories that unveil Middle Road’s gastronomic heritage. The tour ends at Main Festival Village @ SMU Campus Green - the perfect spot to dig into the food you would have picked up along the way.

About Singapore Night Festival

Singapore Night Festival, organised by National Heritage Board, returns this year from 18 - 26 August 2023 to light up the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct. From dynamic Projection Mapping and Night Lights installations, to unique, experiential programmes and food experiences, the festival welcomes festival-goers to discover Singapore’s transformative history with the theme “Singapore, the Great Port City”.

• Dates: 18, 19, 25, & 26 August 2023
• Session: 5.30pm – 8.00pm
• Group Size: Minimum 4 participants to start tour and Maximum of 20 participants per tour group
• Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session for registration and no refunds for late comers. All sessions will start promptly at the stated time.
