Important remarks
- Infants under 6 months of age on the date of departure are not permitted on board.
- The amount of port fees and gratuities may change without prior notice. An adjustment of payment may be required even post-departure.
- In case of variation in the cost of fuel, an adjustment may be required, of which you will be informed before departure.
- The cost of port taxes is included in the starting price, but the following tax must be paid onboard: *Japan international tourist tax: JPY1,000 equivalent per person *Children under the age of 2 are exempt from payment.
- The fuel surcharge fee (JPY29,000) is already included in the travel cost, but in the case of an increase of its price, an adjustment might be required before the departure.
Embarkation and disembarkation
- Passport, boarding pass, and credit card for onboard payment are required for check-in. See the final information for details.
- If you miss the final check-in time, your booking will be automatically canceled with no refund.
- It may take 2 to 3 hours from arrival at the port to disembarkation. Please plan your final day schedule accordingly.
Embarkation at Yokohama
- On the day of embarkation, please come to the designated meeting place for check-in procedures. The designated meeting place and the check-in time will be announced at a later date.
- Once on board, you will not be allowed to leave the ship.
Disembarkation at Yokohama
- The exact place of disembarkation will be announced at a later date.
Rooming
- We do not guarantee room numbers or adjoining rooms.
- We accept requests, but we may not be able to meet them.
Meals
- Standard meals (main dining room and buffet restaurant) are included in the package price. Also, a variety of other specialty restaurants are available by reservation only (cover charge applies) and snacks at the café.
- There are three times for dinner in the main dining room (1st: 17:00 or 17:30 / 2nd: 19:15 or 20:00 / 3rd: 21:30).
- Dinner time can be customized at a fee (2 years and older). Aurea guests may dine on their own time in the main dining area, and MSC Yacht Club guests may dine in the exclusive restaurant.
- All breakfast and lunch meals are served in order of arrival.
Smoking
- Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the ship, including balconies in cabins. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is permitted in designated areas. If smoking occurs outside of designated smoking areas, a cleaning fee will be charged. Repeat offenders may be asked to disembark.
Currency Exchange
- Exchange JPY to USD on board is available, but the amount is limited and we may not be able to meet your request. Local currency (Korean won) is not available on board, so please prepare it before boarding.
Ports of Call
- At each port of call, simply show your cruise card to embark and disembark freely. You can board and disembark at your leisure by simply showing your cruise card at each port of call. Meals are available on board for passengers to enjoy while the ship is at anchor.
- Food and beverages at ports of call (off the ship) are at your own expense. The last time to return to the ship at each port of call is one hour before departure. Please verify the last boarding time on board.
Sightseeing at ports of call
- Optional tours are available at an extra charge. Optional tours are available at an extra charge. Details will follow.
Other Expenses
- In the event of a change or cancellation of any part of the cruise schedule, passengers are responsible for any expenses incurred by them (transportation, lodging, sightseeing tours, etc. before, during and after the cruise) and cancellation fees related to such expenses.
Change of Schedule
- Be advised that the ship may not be able to enter certain ports of call, including S. Korea, due to unavoidable circumstances such as local conditions or instructions from government agencies. The schedule, ports of call, departure and arrival times, and onboard programs are subject to change without notice.
Other notes
- Children under 15 years old and below need to be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
- Children under 18 years old and below need to accept their guardians' acceptance of traveling.
- A valid passport with a validity exceeding 6 months at the end of the cruise is required at issuing a boarding ticket.
- Infants under 6 and below months old are not allowed and pregnant passengers of 24 weeks or more by the end of the cruise are unable to book due to MSC's security policy.
- Advanced notice will be required if you bring wheelchairs, medical devices, and cardiac pacemakers onboard.
- Some respiratory medical equipment such as oxygen cylinders, concentrators, etc. are not allowed on board due to the extreme difficulty of securing proper medical care on board.
- Such guests shall inform MSC Cruises of any special requirements by filling in the Special Needs Form.
- You cannot choose the main dining room for dinner. Also, the starting time is subject to change.
- If you have any allergies, inform us at the time of booking or at least 50 days before departure. However, no special meals will be provided, so please check with the waiter in charge after boarding.
