By Spartans Boxing Club
Spartans Boxing Club was first opened in 2015 at Joo Chiat Road, and has since grown to 13 clubs in Singapore, 1 in Dubai and 1 in Cambodia. The sudden influx of clubs happened during Covid, when franchise owners noticed a sudden increase in demand for fitness studios. All this can be credited to the recent realisation of how keeping fit is vital to our health, and how rewarding the results are when one commits to it (thanks to Covid for keeping us at home with nothing to do). We strive to give quality exercise and workouts through the art of Boxing, while creating awareness on what an enjoyable sport it is. Spartans Boxing Club welcomes everybody and anybody who would like to break that barrier and take the first steps to a new and improved lifestyle.
Originally Spartans Dhoby Ghaut, the central branch had to relocate due to the successful enbloc of Peace Centre. Now rebranded as Spartans South Central, we have found ourselves a new home on 137 Cecil Street. Boasting 2067 sqft of unobstructed floor space, the gym will also feature larger Heavy Bag cages, free weightlifting stations and premium showers and toilet facilities to accommodate the CBD crowd.

Closing Fire Ceremony
Join us for a closing fire ceremony at 8.15pm on Sunday 30th April 2023, as we wrap up a month of wellness at Well Commune Shenton. In this intentional and grounding shamanic experience, which will be cohosted by Omsira Barry and Tamsin Bradshaw, we will honour endings and step willingly into new beginnings.
Working with contained fire is an elemental way to witness transitions internally and externally, and to consciously choose to walk through the doorway of change.
It’s also a beautiful opportunity to farewell the PIL Building, which is soon scheduled for demolition. At this fire ceremony, we’ll celebrate the history of this building, the area, and the lives and memories of all who passed through it.
This special ceremony is by donation only, with all proceeds going to Heart to Heart, a non-profit supporting families in need in Singapore.
