Tour de Manglares o Luciérnagas en Bintan

Nuestro grupo fue uno de los primeros en salir a pasar la noche. Hicimos tres paradas para ver las luciérnagas. El guía del barco tenía mucha experiencia y hablaba bien inglés, aunque de vez en cuando decía algo de chino. ¡Aprendimos mucho sobre los manglares y las luciérnagas durante el recorrido!

I booked the 11am mangrove tour pickup, but due to the weather, they contacted me to ask if it was okay to delay. I agreed to move it to 4pm and requested a message 30 minutes before arrival so I could prepare. Unfortunately, no message came through, and my whole day was affected. If I had known earlier whether the tour would proceed or be cancelled, I could have arranged my day better. When I finally decided not to wait anymore and walked out for dinner, that was when the driver arrived and asked if I was joining the tour. I wasn’t even ready and only had my purse with me. Since it had been raining earlier, the weather wasn’t ideal, and we didn’t get to see any wildlife during the tour. I understand that nature is unpredictable — sometimes it’s simply not our luck. If the weather conditions are not suitable, perhaps rescheduling or cancelling the tour would be better, so guests — especially those travelling from far away — can still have a good experience.

18時半にホテルを出発し、15分程度でマングローブに到着しました。そこで他の観光客と一緒に少し待機し、船に乗り込みました。船のスピードが意外と速くて驚きましたが、夜風に当たってとても気持ちよかったです。途中まではみんなでホタルを探しながらマングローブを進んでいき、ホタルが沢山いるスポットに到着し、たくさんのホタルを眺めることができました。あと、ホタルだけではなく船から見る星空がとても綺麗で感動しました！また参加したいツアーです。

Amazing experience. The tour was smooth and has a nice peaceful night sky as a plus. Tour guide and captain will catch fireflies and place them on your hands, allowing you to have an upclose experience with the fireflies.

Our guide was so funny and knowledgeable. It was a cloudless night where we could see the stars and the moon perfectly. The fireflies were easy to see, and the entire experience was safe and freeing. What an amazing time!

We joined the 8:00 PM slot. Cruising through the darkness on a motorboat while the North Star and Orion shone bright and large above us was a truly magical experience. Our guide had incredible night vision. He would slow down the boat whenever he spotted something and point out fireflies for us. At times, he even caught them gently with his hands and passed them to us to see up close. It was an unforgettable night!

nice fireflies hunting in mangrove river.The driver is polite and friendly and the boat tour guide is pleasant too.We managed to see some fireflies although not many due to windy weather
