Detective Conan 30th Anniversary Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the release of the series "Detective Conan", the exhibition "30 years anniversary of Detective Conan" will be the opening activity in a series of interesting activities highlighting the Japanese culture at Gigamall, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, Vietnam is the first country in the world to organize an exhibition outside of Japan.

This is an opportunity for Conan fans to return to childhood memories, the world of solving crimes and finding the truth along with attractive and mysterious simulated cases...In Japan, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release, the exhibition was held in Tokyo in January and February this year. After that, the exhibition was held in the cities of Sapporo in April and May, in the city of Sendai from May to June, and the exhibition is still being prepared to be held in Osaka (July and August), Hiroshima (August and September), Yokohama (September and October), Nagoya (November and December).

Starting to be serialized in SHOGAKUKAN Inc. 's "Weekly Shonen Sunday" since January 1994, "Detective Conan" (original author: Gosho Aoyama) marks the 30th anniversary of its release in January 2024. As of currently, the series has more than 1,100 chapters published, compiled into 105 volumes. Adaptations based on this story have also been made, including anime and 26 movies. Within the exhibition, the history and attractiveness of Detective Conan story that has fascinated many readers for many years will be introduced to visitors.

The highlight of the exhibition lies in the 30-year journey of Detective Conan revealed through the statue display areas, the area reviewing life-changing "words" throughout the work, quotes reveal the thoughts and beliefs of the characters; The "special section" area collects codes or suicide notes that have appeared in the work; the area focusing on the perpetrators - the main characters standing in the shadow of "Detective Conan"; or the area reserved for "Conan's rival" - Kaito Kid...

And especially the area called "Memory Room (Theatre Room)" summarizes the 30-year journey of "Famous Detective Conan" with a retrospective film, taking visitors into a nostalgic and emotional space. brings a different and unique experience that can only be enjoyed at this exhibition.

The exhibition also created an unforgettable impression when designing a special display area by author Gosho Aoyama to display valuable early design documents of "Detective Conan". In addition, there are many display areas with check-in photo spots using exclusive illustrations, areas selling exclusive limited edition products only for visitors, promising to bring many new experience for the fan community of "Detective Conan".

In addition, a series of special experience activities will also happen during this period at Gigamall such as: release of Conan movie at CGV theater from August 2; shopping offers from Japanese brands at Gigamall. Especially, this exhibition will also display a special gift from author Gosho Aoyama - a painting by by the author himself as a greeting and thank you to all the Conan fans in Vietnam.

The exhibition "30 years anniversary of Detective Conan" is organized by Jazzy Paradise and Tagger Company Limited with the participation of companion units: Gigamall; Content and media partner Kim Dong Publishing House.

The event takes place from 29 June 2024 till 31 August 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Level 6 - Gigamall Shopping Center (No. 240 - 242 Pham Van Dong, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).

Taking the theme of "mystery", this area can be considered a "special section" that collects codes or suicide notes that appeared in "Detective Conan". And yet, let's dig deeper into the extremely complicated relationship with the "Black Organization".

■ Room 4: Conan’s Hannin

Wherever there is a crime, there is a perpetrator. This area will focus on the perpetrators - the main characters standing in the shadow of "Detective Conan". Is there a case or killer that still lingers in your mind...?

■ Room 5: Conan’s Justice

Family, friends, loved ones have passed away full of regret... Those who stayed behind overcome the pain to inherit their will. In this area, let's explore the complex relationships, motivations, and unshakable beliefs of the characters.

■ Room 6: Conan’s magic

Coming to this area, we will delve into Conan's rival, Kaito Kid. A super thief, reckless and daring... We invite you to enjoy Kaito Kid's magical performances so far!!

■ Room 7: The Memories

Finally, we will summarize the 30-year journey of "Detective Conan" with a look back film. You are entering a space that takes your experience to the extreme, and can only be enjoyed at this exhibition.

Follow the author to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release!! The special room will display precious early design documents of “Detective Conan”!!
