Aurora Hunting in a Heated Sleigh
- Enhance your adventure with an optional open fire dinner. If you choose this option your safari will be divided into two parts with a delicious, traditional meal enjoyed by the fire in a Lappish Tipi in between.
- For an added touch of Finnish tradition, you can also opt for a tent sauna, complete with the exciting option for ice swimming. Combine the thrill of chasing the northern Lights with authentic arctic relaxation!
- We will meet at 18:30 in Xwander Nordic, Ivalontie 12. Duration of the whole trip is around 3 hours (4 hours with dinner or tent sauna).
- Return to the Ivalo around 22:00-23:00

Take a seat in the heated Aurora sleigh and relax as your guide tows the sleigh with a snowmobile through the silent, snow-covered forest and across the frozen lake. Enjoy the journey far away from residential areas and their light pollution, staying warm and comfortable as you take in the night sky illuminated by the stars and the Northern Lights. During breaks, you can sit on comfortable reindeer hides and sip on hot drinks, adding to the Nordic experience. Watch as the Northern Lights ripple in waves across the sky, admire the constellations, the snowy trees, and the shimmering snow-covered fells.

What to bring?
- Bring your camera / phone and in cold temperatures powerbank is a good idea.

Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights is amazing phenomenon that is very dependant on weather, especially cloud coverage. You can book the tour with 100% free cancellation terms all the way to 15:00 same day when we will call you to inform you about weather forecast of the day and the chances of us catching the Auroras.
We have a complimentary pick up service for Ivalo area and supplementary for Inari, Nellim, Saariselkä and Kiilopää areas. You can choose your pick-up location in the checkout.
