台北艾麗希爾頓格芮精選酒店 - Espectáculo de cuenta regresiva de Año Nuevo y fuegos artificiales de Taipei 101 - Distrito de Xinyi

The view of the tower for the fireworks at the countdown was great. The food was OK, very limited options. Since the event is all outdoors and it was raining, they provided raincoats and flashing headbands. Photos of outside the location would’ve been helpful as there is a restaurant in the neighbouring hotel with a very similar name. Event is overpriced for what you get but it allowed me to avoid the crowds for a longer period. Music was great but the rain caused technical issues. Drinks were great and lots of options available. The garden area needed more standing tables and they need to change how they store umbrellas if it rains next year as well (mine was taken).

Esta vez tuve mucha suerte de que no lloviera. Llevé a mi novio británico, que estaba de visita en Taiwán por primera vez, a ver los fuegos artificiales. Fue realmente hermoso y a él también le encantó. El único inconveniente es el tema del horizonte. Originalmente, el ángulo del Hotel Ellie era fantástico, pero el nuevo se llama Torre Taipei y es una monstruosidad.

The title of the experience was misleading & instructions were unclear. We arrived at 20:30, thinking we would be served until 21:00 but could stay on until midnight. This voucher was only valid for dining from 18:00 to 21:00 only. The buffet stopped at 20:30 & we had to leave the restaurant at 21:00 sharp. While the main course was excellent, we could not enjoy our meals because the staff kept reminding us we had to clear by 21:00 and they anxiously watched & waited for us to finish our food. One of the waitresses was kind & nice. We didn't know that the voucher excluded the Taipei New Year's Eve firework as it wasn't explained clearly in the description. Disappointing & felt a bit cheated for the price we paid.
