This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the property super cute, the staff are so helpful and friendly. This hotel also is within walking distance of almost everything. Don’t skip on the French restaurant next door!

We typically don’t stay at small inns, bed-and-breakfast or boutique hotels but in this instance we did. Grateful as its history and location made it the perfect place to be for our three night stay in Philadelphia. From the moment we checked in, to time spent in the pleasant common rooms and at breakfast we felt well cared for. Jerry was particularly helpful in answering questions regarding the order in which to see sites and what not to miss. This was our first visit to Philadelphia and we absolutely loved it.

The is a cute, quaint hotel with a lot of nostalgia. The rooms are very spacious, comfy beds with plenty of pillows. The location was perfect, we walked around til after 11:00 pm & felt safe. Staff was wonderful. My only comment was we were on the 3rd floor, which was “ok” for us mid 50’s. But if you have bad knees, etc I would make sure to get a room on the lower floor. Parking garage is right across from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again…

A wonderful experience. The historic house is elegant, warm, and very well maintained. Our room was spacious and carefully outfitted with a mixture of stately antiques and later pieces. The breakfast was truly a surprise with an extensive variety of food and drink. We certainly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again. It could not have been better.

Solo stay

Morris House is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room and hotel itself were very clean. Room service was offered daily. They don’t have an elevator, but they help with carrying luggage to upper floors. I did eventually get used to the stairs - they are steep and long. Breakfast is continental with the same options daily. The fruit was fresh and the muffins were tasty. They have a large tea selection for us tea lovers. While a parking garage is literally across the street, it is a little cumbersome to get your luggage from the garage to the hotel. I didn’t know at the time, but you can pull up to the hotel to unload and then park in the garage. I did not know the parking didn’t have in and out privileges, so the parking is expensive and inconvenient given the price point. The location is convenient to many of the attractions and historical sites in old city and city center. I was able to walk to all of those.
