Below average

I was billed and additional $34.90 for an “Expedia Booking Fee”. When I booked the reservation I was guaranteed by Expedia that the price I paid included all taxes and fees. This is a sham by the Capitol Hill Hotel and should be reported to the proper regulatory agency for correction and refunds. Maybe a class action suit would correct this course of practice.

The property was in a good location with street parking availability if you want to avoid valet costs. The room was clean and spacious. The included breakfast had good options with friendly staff. Overall, I would stay here again when visiting with my family.

Hotel is very old but renovated. Bathrooms are so small and uncomfortable, that is the only thing I did not like. Location is close to capital but a 55min walk to White House. Beds were comfortable and room was clean but has a slight smell.

Overall great hotel and location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Parking available for free in the area on the weekends. Beautiful, updated room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Go YANKEES!

We LOVE this hotel. Perfect for our stay. Near everything we planned to do, while in a beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a full kitchen, small dining room and walk-in closet and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and helpful (Abdula fixed our TV remote within moments of our request, and he was friendly and funny!) though we barely needed their assistance. Breakfast was good, and the bikes made our first day of museum-hopping so Much fun! One big hill to get back to the hotel, but we summited it successfully! Never even used the Metro. Price was very competitive, the best deal in town. Will absolutely stay here again. Five stars!
