Good

Stayed with family

Staying at the Numa is a real pain, which is a shame because the place, location and rooms are very good. It’s a digital check in and you need their website and then their App and then both SMS and WhatsApp and then your ID. When you get your code it is only valid for 3 minutes???? Your access PIN is 5 numbers. They could have made it worse but probably stopped after making it such a performance. You probably need about a hour to go through all their hoops. Don’t stay in Room 108. It overlooks a pub and is really noisy until midnight, especially when they empty their glass bottles and at 07.00 as they begin getting ready.

Good

Solo stay

I had prepaid that afternoon as was an unexpected stay. Digital check in was long winded and took nearly 2 hours due to issues with their website and then having to download the app and upload proof of identity and glitches with app. Front door keypad was playing up after checking in , customer service number wasn't answering and premium no . would of been stranded if not for searching app for remote access tool Room at first glance was clean but floor looked like it hadn't been hoovered in ages . Kettle didn't work. Bedding had stains on . A/C was playing up... Positive did have amenities as description. Fridge in room Good location for lanes .

Great

For business

Good location, clean room and bathroom, great facilities in the room and comfortable bed. Quite noisy outside but standard for city centre. Laundry room facilities state ironing boards and irons available but this was not the case - ironing boards but no actual irons. Was staying overnight for a conference so an iron was essential, messaged on WhatsApp and was told they don't provide irons at the Brighton location. Very frustrating.

Great

Solo stay

The hotel was very conveniently located in the North Laines area of Brighton, a block away from the Royal Pavilion and 10 minutes walk from the railway station. It is a large modern hotel, the room was spacious , the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchenette was excellent. The room was air conditioned, great during the heat wave, and wifi worked fine. All this said, this hotel chain seems to pride itself on using digital technologies and apps, and not having a reception. The checking in process was awful, requiring me to do an on-line check in and for info on two persons including photographic ID even though I was travelling solo. I tried calling the emergency helpline several times but it was never answered. Fortunately, there was a person at the entrance area when I arrived who was very helpful and resolved all my arrival issues, though only works approx 9-5pm. I would have had problems if checking in during the evening. I never figured out the App and never knew how to use the remote for the TV.

I was rather nervous about the hotel not having a reception but the code arrived a morning of our visit. Entry to Hotel and our room was very easy and the following day, we left luggage in appropriate locker, again using the same code. A perfect visit to Brighton

Expect clean, large rooms with minimal furnishing and no staff of site. The rooms could be a bit cleaner and fresher, but for the price and location, there’s a lot to like. Nice touch offering ear plugs to block the sounds from the bar next door!

Great little apartment, with double hob, coffee machine, microwave, ok-sized fridge, free tea and coffee, great location, smooth to get in with the pin code. Comfy bed, very clean, good shower. Hard to fault

Fantastic

Stayed with partner

Check in is online and painful including the need to upload ID for all guests, and installing the app. The hotel and room PIN Is sent ahead of time and works well. The room is functional and comfortable, everything you need for a stay. Bathroom well appointed with a great shower. Breakfast in the cafe next door with good menu choices. On site staff super helpful, even though it is all supposed to be online. Parking in Brighton is difficult and expensive so see if you can sort it out before you arrive, again on site staff were super helpful.
