Stayed with friends

The whole experience was amazing, just off the beaten track (motorway) the property has a certain feel about it that just relaxes you and makes you feel welcome. Beautiful clean rooms , with everything you could possibly need . The hosts welcomed us and then left us to enjoy our stay. Highly recommend !

A beautiful, new and very comfortable site. The unit was immaculate and everything worked great. New appliances. We had 2 bedrooms, each with an ensuite - very handy. Take some care with the last few Apple map directions in as it seems to involve a shortcut through a gas station, then a turn on to a small gravel drive.

Solo stay

I am hiking a section of the Te Araroa trail from Auckland to Hamilton and came across Heavens Rest as a logistical stop. I stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage and couldn’t have been more impressed with the tranquility after a long hike, comfy bed and fridge filled with juice, fresh milk, eggs, bread and yogurt. Robert even drove me back to the trail in the morning - highly recommend

Everything was fine. Communication with owner was very good. The acommodation in all aspects was very satisfactory. Breakfast was fine. We liked eggs, coffee and bread. I wish i knew the name of that coffee. Perhaps Robert will tell me. Honey was also tasty. We missed regular yogurt without sugar. Regretably after taking a few scups, I could not eat it with bread and honey i already used. The amount of sugar would get beyond my tolerance. In general, we were happy with the accomodaion.
