Inn is clean, though windows are not well insulated for noise leading to hearing every car that passes the busy road. The beds are comfy though room 4 has what appears to be a king sized frame with a double mattress. The central support frame takes up a large bit of the mattress and would be really uncomfortable to share. As a solo traveler pulling the matter to ones side offset this but the correct sized frame would give more space to an already small room. Having a fridge in every room is a great touch and access to a toaster and microwave is helpful as restaurant times are limited if your an early riser or a like a later dinner

Room was small, warm (not even a fan inside) and noisy. Walls thin, could hear every neighbor’s bumps, snores and conversations. Busy main city street just outside the hotel window and a hot room made for a rough night’s sleep.

Overall I enjoyed my stay but the main thing that let it down was how uncomfortable the bed was. The bed also was very noisy whenever you moved and you could hear people turning over in their beds in other rooms as there’s were the same. Overall the property was clean, our sheets smelt lovely and the room & bathroom was clean however the shower head was not clean and also leaked out the bottom where it attached. The shower itself was good other than that.
There are a few things that need upgrading/fixing but it’s a great location and the staff were friendly. I would stay again if it was upgraded slightly (beds) but otherwise I couldn’t do more than one night on the mattress again!

Great value to stay here, staff friendly, decent bar downstairs, great full-Scottish breakfast, comfortable & clean room, good shower and parking out back. What’s not to love for the money. Great work !
