I’m giving this Riad a 4 instead of 5 because of the temperature in the hotel itself (not my room). I understand why it’s like that. The climate in the country & building structure is a big factor. Not to mention it’s in the old area of Marrakesh. Everything else was excellent. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The location was great. The breakfast was good. The housekeeping service was excellent. My room was exactly as pictured. The bed and shower was wonderful. I felt safe as a single female traveler. The airport is on a 15 minute ride. Like I said no complaints. I would stay here again.

Fantastic
The Riad was located in the heart of the “old medina” which made it very convenient for shopping, exploring and was very close to restaurants. When we got to the riad, the host brought us some Moroccan tea and cookies, which was a very nice (yet different) gesture. We had to wait in the lobby for about 30 mins to enjoy our tea and cookies while he checked us in. The check in process also consisted of him taking our passports to make a copy for record keeping (which I thought was very weird), but when asked he explained that it was to show to the police if they came to check. Once we were checked in, we were taken to our room. There is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage through these narrow stairs (which was fine since we packed light this time). The room was big and beautiful with an attached bathroom, however my 2 complaints about the bathroom are that 1) there was no bathroom door & 2) the shower door did not effectively prevent water from spilling into the rest of the bathroom floor. No matter how much we tried to be careful, there was a puddle of water outside the shower door everytime we showered. The breakfast was included and we had the option to eat upstairs on the roof or downstairs by the pool. We chose to eat upstairs so my husband could smoke on the rooftop as well. They gave us freshly squeezed orange juice, and tea with the breakfast. The entire spread was great (and abundant). The staff was very nice and accommodating. Overall recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at this Riad. It’s in the Kasbah region of the city, within the Medina walls. We stayed in the Marzoga room on the first floor. King bed. Private bathroom. Shower, no bath tub. A set of robes and disposable house slippers provided for each guest. Pool in the central living area (we didn’t use it, since it’s winter time) and breakfast included. The ppl who own this spot are VERY very accommodating. The location of the Riad is also very convenient for getting out of the Medina quickly. We absolutely would not hesitate to stay here again when we come back to Marrakech! Thank you Amal for your hospitality!

As a seasoned traveler, I’ve had my fair share of hotel stays, but rarely have I experienced the level of dedication and warmth that I found at Riad L’école in Marrakesh. This charming haven is nestled within the bustling streets of the Medina, and it provides an exceptional escape that transcends the ordinary. I feel compelled to share my remarkable journey, which was made unforgettable not only by the stunning surroundings but also by the incredible staff who truly go the extra mile. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that felt welcoming yet luxurious. The soft sounds of Moroccan music intertwined with the fragrant aroma of mint tea wafting through the air instantly set the mood for relaxation and adventure ahead. As I stepped into the riad, I was greeted with the warmest smiles. It was evident that the team at Riad L’école genuinely cared about my experience, and it made the world of difference. What truly set Riad L’école apart, however, was the staff. I can’t emphasize enough how they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was extraordinary. From offering personalized recommendations for local attractions to arranging tours, the team was always on hand to assist. It was clear that they took pride in their work and genuinely wanted to share the beauty of Marrakesh with me. In conclusion, my experience at Riad L’école was nothing short of extraordinary. For fellow travelers seeking a place where hospitality meets genuine care, this riad is a gem
