Great tour. Our guide was able to explain the history of the attractions and was flexible with the itinerary. We didn’t want to visit the elephant nursery and he swooped it for the Jantar Mantar which we missed in our previous tour. He was really knowledgeable and we could connect with him really well.
I had been looking forward to this tour for a long time and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I opted for the sunrise tour which meant being picked up from my hotel in Jaipur at 2:00am. The driver was super friendly and made me feel comfortable during the drive. We arrived in Agra at around 6:00am and went to pick up my guide for the day - she was very welcoming. We headed to the Taj Mahal where we met another guide who had 30+ years experience and his knowledge of the Taj and the history was amazing. Both guides were great at answering any questions I had and knew all the perfect photo spots. The Taj Mahal itself is just incredible and I was lucky to have such good weather on the day. After we were finished at the Taj, my guide gave me the option to visit Agra Fort or Baby Taj, she recommended we stop at the fort for a quick photo outside but visit Baby Taj instead since 80% of the fort is closed to visitors as it is occupied by the army - I didn’t know this and appreciated her advice. Baby Taj was great and I’m glad I visited. We then stopped for a late breakfast before heading back to Jaipur. It was made clear that the day was at my discretion and if I had wanted to visit any shops or stop anywhere else then that would be accommodated, it was great to have the flexibility. I was travelling as a solo female so I was a little apprehensive before the trip, both the driver and my guide made me feel safe and at ease and I would 100% recommend this to anyone planning to visit Agra in future.
The view of Jal Mahal Palace at lake from Jaigarh Fort is breathtaking. This is the only fort where you can see the lake palace from the top. I am grateful that my tour guide Bhawani (Mr) was willing to spend extra hours beyond the half day to allow me more time to explore the forts. Special thanks to him again to go the extra miles with me to hike up to Amer watch tower in replacement of just entering Amer Fort because I have already explored Amer Fort the day before. The only downside was that the driver should have also brought umbrellas in case we need them.
It was amazing walking tour when we visited Jaipur city. Dhananja was very nice tour guide and handsome Indian boy. He was polite and protected us when we crossed the road then he said "Just relax". It make us felt calm down from many cars in the road. He recommended good Chai shop for us and clearly to explained about histories of Jaipur although first time we did not understand his English (Indian accent) but he spoke slow down and it was easy to listened. We was fun and got new friend for this trip.
The fort is an amazing site and Sawar our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us throughout the complex, including a hammam, the toilet, a secret tunnel that connected to another fort, and many other places. We then walked through a nearby village, which surrounds the fort. The various views within and around the fort are truly awesome.
Saket and Ayush - two local tour guides were enthusiastic and funny guys. They walked with me visiting various historical, architectural and religious spots including ancient houses at Jaipur to understand the famous heritages, more knowledge of Hindu and part of daily living in the pink city. Those places became more interesting with few stories unfound on the internet but shared by thoé local men. On the walk, they also invited me to try indian snack which are crispy, used with sour and spicy sauce, cakes from offerings to the God. Highly recommend the tourists to take this tour. For next time if any i would like to join their food tour.
