Miniature Garden of Butterflies V | Mao Hamaguchi Solo Exhibition Information

The Japanese artist Mao Hamaguchi, who has been represented by Neptune gallery for a long time, is set to hold her first solo exhibition in Taiwan at Neptune Gallery! After a lengthy preparation period, the highly anticipated artist will showcase her latest works, and she will be present at the opening day for a signing event.

Mao Hamaguchi's work focuses on depicting the inner world of adolescent girls, using symbolic imagery such as lace and butterflies. She is particularly drawn to the uncertainty of transfer printing, aiming to capture the delicate emotions and fleeting moments of a girl's inner struggles through its unexpected beauty. Despite her foundation in classical realism, she challenges herself by incorporating Gothic decorative styles and other techniques to express a wide range of emotions.
