Re Four Seasons | Contemporary Dance Production | Show Introduction

New arrangement of classical music and contemporary dance

In the ever-changing midst of the four seasons, it ignites infinite imagination.

Inspired by the changing seasons of nature, exploring life’s prosperity and decline, circular natural rules, and revealing the mystery of life, the sought-after contemporary dance artist and choreographer Kelvin Mak Cheuk Hung is bringing his new piece——"Re Four Seasons", along with his dancers, dare to challenge the visual scale with their naked expression. Vivaldi's "Four Seasons” will be performed live by Asiartic Camerata in a newly rearranged version to enrich the musical and visual experience of the audience.

Contemporary Dance Company Beyond Dance Theater will be presenting Kelvin Mak Cheuk Hung’s latest work "Re Four Seasons" at the Theatre in Sheung Wan Civic Centre from March 15 to 16, 2024 for two nights. This work will span classical music and contemporary dance, presenting the cycle of life behind the seasons and the struggle between the divine and human nature.

Beyond Dance Theater is devoted to establishing a platform for cross-disciplinary and cross-border artistic exchange. The works mainly focus on portraying human nature, interweaving different forms of performance continuously, in pursuit of the fusion of mind and body presentation. This time, “Re Four Seasons" by Artistic Director Kelvin Mak Cheuk Hung is another important milestone of contemporary dance art promotion.
