Witness the magic when heavy metal meets a symphony orchestra

What do you get when you combine a symphony orchestra, composers from the world of heavy metal, a wild conductor, a truly unique soloist and plenty of attitude and talent?

All of these elements collide in brilliant fashion in Bright & Black, a programme performed by the Baltic Sea Philharmonic featuring works created by figures from the Nordic heavy metal scene.

The Baltic Sea Philharmonic, led by conductor Kristjan Järvi, has long pushed the traditional orchestral model to new heights with a truly unconventional performance style, but Bright & Black goes even further, featuring soloist Eicca Toppinen (cellist and founder of Finnish metal band Apocalyptica), and music written by songwriters from metal bands such as Entombed A.D. and Watain.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the orchestra that embodies all that is innovative and progressive about the Nordic region, and witness the magic created when the world of heavy metal fuses with the world of classical music.
