《Suda Yoshihiro》is going to have a grand opening at AKI gallery in the end of 2023 ! This time, Suda Yoshihiro will be showing several museum-level masterpieces specifically made for the venue of AKI. More excitingly, he will be orchestrating the setup himself here in Taipei, hoping to bring forth the infinite possibilities between the space and his art creation. On the opening day, the artist is going to be at the venue as well, sharing his unique aesthetics and life philosophy with the viewers.

SUDA was born in Yamanashi Prefecture of Japan at the foot of Mount Fuji. His idiosyncratic artistic language and perception of beauty was sprouted from his early life experience with nature. Every petal of flowers and every blade of grass made by SUDA may seem static, yet they are the evergreen embodiment of the desire to live. He employs the elegant texture of Japanese Magnolia wood to manifest the exquisite details of the leaf veins, conveying the natural flowing of life within those refined lines. SUDA not only visually reproduces every element of the mother nature, but also expresses his awe for the universe through "humble" carving. His oeuvres exude a profound mental power, inspired by the Japanese culture, "anot"(もののあはれ), which means to carefully look at and try to understand the world and the things around us. This profound sensitivity and the awareness of the fragile beauty of things being his core philosophy of creation, SUDA's distinctive display will remind the viewers to re-examine the interesting aspects of the space itself.

"Time flies and season changes, while I look at everything around silently and alone." 2023.12.09 (SAT) to 2023.12.31 (SUN), we invite you to observe these artworks immersed in the space, overthrowing the way you used to perceive the world, and eventually re-embrace your love for life and the infinite beauty in limited things.
