The Queen of Romantic Ballads Lee Yi-Jun is coming to Singapore to hold her 35th anniversary concert at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands.
Lee Yi-Jun rose to fame in the Taiwanese music industry when she released her classic Meet by Chance (萍聚) when it was released in 1987, with her album selling more than 200 thousand copies. Honoured as the Queen of Romantic Ballads, she has had an extensive discography of over 30 albums in Cantonese, Mandarin and Hokkien. Lee Yi-Jun is best known for singing the theme songs for numerous famous television dramas based on Qiong Yao's novels, most notably for the renowned drama series My Fair Princess.
She was nominated for the Best Hokkien Female Singer for the song Dragon Lady of Samsara (苦海女神龙) in the 1993 Taiwan Golden Melody Awards. With her slate of classics and singalongs, Lee Yi-Jun has firmly established herself as a pioneer of Taiwanese folk music and a prominent figure in the industry.
