Shred to Shinto|YSK_Quality Solo Exhibition Introduction

13A New Street Art Gallery proudly presents the solo exhibition " Shred to Shinto " by YSK_Quality from 8th June to June 25th, featuring over 35 artworks. YSK_Quality specializes in creating art using the traditional Japanese craft of "Yosegi", which is a type of woodworking that originated in the Hakone region of Japan. "Yosegi" involves piecing together different colored woods to create intricate patterns, which are then crafted into a variety of art pieces. YSK_Quality comes from a traditional Japanese artisan family and is the fourth-generation heir to the family's mechanical woodworking techniques. In Japan, traditional techniques like "Yosegi" are usually passed down through generations, ensuring the purest form of the craft. Japanese artisans and their aesthetics have been praised worldwide, and there is a culture of "Japanese craftsmanship" where they dedicate their entire lives to perfecting one craft. They pour their heart and soul into their work, pursuing excellence in every detail and striving for perfection beyond perfection. Their creations are characterized by a simple and understated style, yet exude a harmonious and relaxed atmosphere. This rich and understated high-end aesthetic is easy to become enchanted with.

YSK_Quality himself is passionate about skateboarding culture and is also very environmentally conscious. He aspires to use every creative opportunity to breathe new life into discarded skateboards through art. With his family's traditional Japanese craft techniques, now in its fourth generation, YSK_Quality's artistic skills are unquestionable. He embodies the Japanese artisan spirit of innovation, transforming old and worn-out skateboards and decks into new and exciting possibilities. To him, skateboards are beautiful treasures waiting to be unearthed.
