About the event
A Very Valentine｜TICA Festival 2023 Concert Introduction
It is a solo work for amplified prepared piano and random objects created by collaborative Pianist Cynthia Chan. The overall soundscape is inspired by John Cage’s composition, especially on music for prepared piano and chance-composed theatre pieces. While this premiere performance is also a reflection of the artist’s exploration and experiment with Toolbox Percussion’s Karl Müller upright piano which suffered from an indoor leakage at the studio.
