I've Got Rhythm | Concert Information

In jazz we talk about swinging, grooving, making people dance, and being in the pocket - jazz can seem very complicated and inaccessible, but we know everyone can feel if something has a good and infectious rhythm.

Our theme, “I Got Rhythm”, is inspired by the optimistic jazz standard of the same name. It speaks to the importance of this element of jazz music, and allows us to perform a wide repertoire of jazz as it focuses on a jazz fundamental. Playing fast and uptempo, or slowly and languidly, we hope to deliver a show that is tight in rhythm and compelling to the average listener, even if they may be hearing jazz for the first time.
