Diana & The Queen's Exhibition Introduction

Galerie artellex, the newest local photography exhibition room, opened an exhibition room in Lai Chi Kok, where creative and creative activities are often held, mainly exhibiting the works of local photographers. It has just completed "Dust in Serenity" in collaboration with Lin Xiaomin, the author of "Hong Kong Legacy Beauty" ” The photo exhibition received a very good response. Galerie artellex will co-organize the "Diana & The Queen's" photo exhibition with Hong Kong senior documentary photographer Kan Tai Wong in March.

The photos in this exhibition are selected from the two photobooks of Mr. Huang Qindai, which were published in 2017<The Queen's> (Queens Hotel) black and white photo album, and the latest color printing<Diana Hong Kong 2014> .

<The Queen's >The photographs were taken from the late 1970s to 1997. It is Mr. Huang who left a very important trace in his photography career.

Huang Qindai picked up the camera to shoot at the beginning, purely because of the need to report on breaking news. However, the black-and-white photos taken over the years are naturally mixed with different motivations and explorations.

This kind of retrospective of photographic recording has continued to this day; the just-published color photos of Diana Hong Kong 2014 can be regarded as an echo of the original.

About Kan Tai Wong

A senior documentary photographer in Hong Kong, born in Lantau Island, an outlying island of Hong Kong. At the end of the 1970s, when he was an emergency reporter, he began to report and record with a camera. Mr. Wong studied photography in Tokyo in the early 1980s.

The photobooks published so far include: "Days in 89' Square", "Hong Kong Land 2002ㄧ2007", "Vajrayana", "The Queen's" (Queen's Hotel), "Fukushima", "Secret 1842 -1997", "Xinjiang 1980", "Bardo Hong Kong 2019", and the newly published "Diana Hong Kong 2014".
