Concert Introduction

YAN, also as known as Yanni Ruth, is a singer-songwriter, content creator and an active mental health advocate on topics such as eating disorders, and the importance of staying positive.

As a musician, she recently released an EP titled Transition, which includes five songs, with one in Mandarin. Each song is a story of the transition of our lives, transitions that we may or will experience throughout our lifetime. Through her songs, she hopes to remind everyone that transitions means leaving behind what we know and what is familiar, and encourage people to embrace change and accept the unacceptable.

Artist Information

Yan hopes to inspire and advocate on self-love as well as mental health through her songs, to bring love and warmth to all.

As someone who has mental health struggles and is suffering from an eating disorder, depression and anxiety disorder since she was 15, Yanni had to live through it alone her entire growing up years.

Thus, she wanted to step out and make a difference in the mental health landscape, to shift perspectives and state the importance of mental health in our daily lives. She has since made a difference by sharing her stories and positivity online by creating mental wellness content on her social media platforms.
