The 6th Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival Introduction

Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival (KIFF) is returned for its 6th edition this summer, featuring fun and educational films for children on the silver screen after having an online version during the citywide class suspension earlier this April. Organised by non-profit organisation 3SPACE and Golden Scene Company Limited, with the support of ELEMENTS as the co-organiser and FWD Insurance as the title sponsor, the festival will be held on August 6, 7, 13 & 14, 2022 at GOLDEN SCENE CINEMA and PREMIERE ELEMENTS.

Featuring 4 Handpicked Children’s Films
Opening Film “Fireheart” will have its opening premiere at PREMIERE ELEMENTS on August 6, while Closing Film “Sound Of Silence” will also have its special screening on the same date to kick off the festival. The other two selected films are “School of Magical Animals” (Germany/Austria), winner of Audience Award at German Film Awards 2022; and “Little Vampire” (France/Belgium), nominees of Best Animated Film at Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2020, César Awards 2021 and Lumiere Awards 2021.

This year, KIFF has the pleasure to collaborate with local artist Curly Sai, whose signature character Curly is going to join hands with KIFF mascot Upmud in promoting the festival and the importance of emotional wellbeing.
