Exhibition Introduction

This January, Crafts on Peel will explore and unveil the enchantment of wooden craft in our third thematic exhibition "Stories Encapsulated: Wood" opening from 22 January to 21 May 2022.

The exhibition is co-curated by Penelope Luk, Creative Director of Crafts on Peel, and Ken Chow, carpenter and founder of Yat Muk Studio, and also marks the second anniversary since our launch in January 2020.

“Stories Encapsulated: Wood" will feature a wide range of creations in wood handcrafted by local and overseas craftsmen, showcasing the unique styles, techniques and heritage of wood crafting that can be found throughout Hong Kong. Working in tandem, traditional craftsmen and contemporary artisans are brought together to inspire each other and create new works in wood for today’s lifestyle.
