Fantastic 5.0
Our tourguide Callum is so impressive! He was a very safe driver, a podcaster, a DJ, and a tourguide all in 1 as he drove us through the highlands. While the weather was foggy and that meant that some of the scenery were not the clearest - that's also the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, is it not?;)

Fantastic 5.0
Tour is guided by Mr Jerry, he is very enthusiastic bringing us to stop at the the viewing points for photo shots in the Glencoe as many as he could. He is very informative and even gave us a quiz and rewarded the top 3 winners. He made the 1 day trip enjoyable and unforgettable. Thank you Jerry from Timberbush Tour.

Fantastic 5.0
The tour was great - we had a smaller van and the seats were comfortable. Our tour guide was Nicky and she was wonderful. She was funny and welcoming, and shared lots of facts and stories about Scotland's history. All the places we stopped were great. The weather was completely wild! We had snow and rain in the morning, and then sun in the afternoon - but this just added to the experience. We also opted for the Loch Ness cruise and it was worth it. The views were amazing and there was more facts shared. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great 4.0
There was a work being done in Queen Street so when we arrived at one of the bus stop it was closed and a very nice gentleman gave us the direction where to get City Sightseeing Bus. The driver was nice.

Fantastic 5.0
The Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling Castle Tour from Glasgow was honestly one of the best tours we had during the trip. The cruise, the scenery, the Scottish farm animals, and especially Stirling Castle made the experience unforgettable. Stirling Castle was full of history and gave a great insight into Scotland’s past and royal history, while the landscapes around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs were absolutely beautiful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, active, and helpful throughout the entire trip, and he kept everyone engaged the whole time. My only complaint is that the cruise and castle entrance fees were paid separately, and I wish they were included in the package. Other than that, the tour was amazing and highly recommended for anyone visiting Glasgow.

What to know before visiting Glasgow

Top experiences overview

Glasgow City’s most-booked activities are city tours, followed by a small number of attraction passes and live events and shows. Demand has a clear yearly rhythm — bookings dip early in the year and peak in May, with steadier interest through early summer.

Activities by traveller type

Families often favour tours that show the city's highlights and offer easy ways to cover multiple sights in one go, while attraction passes provide a low-effort, budget-friendly way to mix and match a few kid-friendly stops. Couples can enjoy the city’s events and shows for an evening out, or pick a guided tour for a more personal, discovery-focused experience. Solo travellers and small groups will find tours especially convenient for meeting others and getting oriented, while attraction passes are the cheapest, simplest entry point if you prefer exploring independently.

What travellers from the United States book ahead

Most visitors to Glasgow tend to plan about nine days in advance, so you can usually keep your schedule flexible and book many things a day or two before arrival, but the earliest planners still book around a month ahead. Booking matters most in May — that peak month is when locking things in earlier is advisable.

Category comparison

On price, attraction passes sit at the entry-level end and are the easiest way in, offering straightforward, low-cost access. Tours occupy the upper-middle range and are the priciest on average, appealing to travellers who value guided context and convenience. Events and shows have the widest spread of prices, ranging from budget-friendly tickets to premium experiences, and so suit a broad mix of tastes depending on whether you want an economical night out or a special-occasion treat.
