The Songkran Festival is the wettest and wildest festival in Thailand, with locals going all-out to celebrate and welcome the Thai New Year. Join in on the fun as you go on a full day tour to the historic city of Ayutthaya from Bangkok! From the meet up point at Century Mall, you'll take a trip to Thailand's ancient capital and make your first stops at Wat Phanan Choeng and Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon. Participate in the traditional carrying of sand to the temple and help build your very own sand pagoda, and sit back as you watch the monks perform bathing rites of the Buddha images around the temples. From there, you'll be taken to Ayutthaya Floating Market, where you can grab a bite to eat as you watch an entertaining Thai cultural show. Your tour continues with a visit to three of the most important temples in Ayutthaya - Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Lokayasutharam - where the real fun of the Songkran celebrations begin! Get ready to get wet and cool down in the midst of the summer heat as the locals drag you into their water fights, and watch the elephants join in the fun, too! As the day turns into night, you'll be brought to a local night market where you can try Thai food and snacks before you make your way back safely to Bangkok.
