Soganli Valley Hot Air Balloon Tour at Sunrise in Cappadocia

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible hot air balloon ride with them in Cappadocia, and it was the highlight of our trip! From start to finish, everything was impeccably organized—the pickup was punctual, the safety briefing was clear, and the entire team was professional and friendly. The flight itself was pure magic. I am Korean and I was very satisfied with the tour. I was the only Korean on the tour, and even though we were joining other foreigners on the tour, we had no difficulty communicating in English. Hotel pick-up is available in Goreme. I remember the departure time was around 4:40. The distance to the boarding area is long, so it takes about an hour to drive. Upon arrival, we have a quick snack (chai, bread) and then board our own hot air balloon. In my case, it was a 12-seater hot air balloon, and there was plenty of space for three people in one compartment. Although there is no city below like Goreme, the clouds and sunrise against the valley were truly fantastic. The height goes up to about 1800m, and even if you are not afraid of heights, it may be a bit difficult for those who are afraid of heights because the height is dizzying. When you come down, there is a simple champagne party, at which point a tip is usually given. I gave a tip of about 100 lira. By the time I returned to Goreme, the approximate time was close to 9 o'clock. Personally, it was one of the most memorable moments in Turkey, so I definitely recommend this tour. -Last tip: Hot air ballooning is greatly affected by the weather, so cancellations occur very often. I also made reservations twice for the Goreme side of my 4-day Cappadocia itinerary, but it was canceled both times, and the last place I applied for was here, and fortunately, this place was running, so I was able to ride it. When I returned to the hotel and asked about it, I was told that there was no service to Goreme today. Looking at it, it seemed like hot air balloons were only in the area I went to. Therefore, don't be disappointed if you don't get one in Goreme, and I recommend applying for places a little further away.

Everything was nearly perfect from pickup (very close to on time) to easy snack before the flight. Watching the balloon inflate was fantastic. We had a very good captain so everything was very smooth n seamless In the air. Afterwards some company hiccup made it so we got back about an hour late. highly recommend!

The pick-up was very punctual, and because we canceled all the hot air balloon rides the day before, we quickly booked this trip with klook. We set off at about 3 o'clock in the morning and drove to the site for about an hour. We were ready to set off for the hot air balloon ride. We would have a simple meal in the morning For breakfast, the staff of the hot air balloon company were very polite and highly recommended. The price is very reasonable. You don’t have to choose Goreme because the price is too expensive!

Shuttle car pick up was on time from hotel. The light breakfast provided was delicious. The hot air balloon flight was a great experience too and good value for money with 18 people basket. However, if you choose to fly at Soganli, make sure you allow 5 hours for the entire trip (picked up and then dropped off back to hotel) as Sognali Valley is far away from Goreme, hence the lower price. The only complaints were the shuttle bus was really cold and driver did not turn on heater despite being asked. In addition, we were not told which balloon we will take and had to find out ourselves which was inconvenient. Overall, happy with this booking.

this was such a great experience and not to be missed when you’re in cappadocia! they’ll pick you up from your hotel, have a light breakfast and you’re off to fly. breathtaking views, really. do remember to put on layers of clothes as it can get really cold. however, I had some issues with Klook when booking this but just make sure you chat with their agent and push for refund + compensation from Klook if you encounter any overlook of booking.

Our Soganli Valley flight was unfortunately cancelled due to high atmospheric wind velocity, but I was very impressed with how the team handled it. They didn't take any unnecessary risks and kept us informed the whole time. Safety should always come first in Cappadocia, and it’s clear this company takes that seriously. The communication regarding the cancellation and the refund process was smooth and professional. Disappointed not to fly, but I would trust this crew again in a heartbeat
