Phnom Phnom to Silk Island Haft-Day Bike Tour

This is a review for Siem Reaper Travel - Phnom Penh who was the tour operator. It was a fun bike ride on a gorgeous day! We went from island to island by ferries and saw a variety of things such as temples, farmlands, cows, a local market, a dried tofu skin factory, and a silk weaving business that has been around for 7 generations. That business provided fruits and refreshments before we rode back to the last ferry. The bikes were of good quality (although my seat was a bit too hard for me). Highly recommended for those who like to explore by biking.

Kim is very patient and helpful to us. We feel like we’re well taken cared off for the whole trip. Thumbs up to Kim. We felt safe during the journey. I highly recommend this your. It gives you new cultural experiences in Cambodia.

Cycling around Mekong island was a great way to kill time and the tour was both informative and full of amazing sights. Big thanks to my guide, Sath, for showing me the way throughout the journey.

The tour today was really great, it's the best! Especially LEE, the guide, was a wonderful friend!! Also, it was a happy time meeting the pure Cambodian people through the product.

Our tour started at 2.30pm so it was a shorter cycling journey since it was in the afternoon. We cycled at another island across the mainland. This place is definitely quieter and easier to cycle. We viewed lotus and rice farms, a Monestery and a silk-weaving family. We were treated to some fruits during our break which was fantastic! At the end of the trip, we had a wonderful sunset cruise along Mekong river. It was a relaxing and enriching experience.

We did the afternoon bike tour with Seer, who was a great guide and very helpful. We learned from life in the countryside of Cambodia. We enjoyed riding the bikes through the small villages and visited a silk factory run by a small family where they taught us all the process, from worm breeding to the creation of silk threads and the design and production of beautiful fabrics. They offered traditional Khmer snacks and fruits, water, and drinks. The bikes were new and top-notch quality. At the end of the tour, we had the pleasant surprise of doing a river cruise during the sunset, which was very pleasant. I wish it had lasted longer! A nice experience where you can truly explore the countryside while also burn all the calories gained throughout the travel. The opportunities to visit a Tofu Skin farm and Silk farm also don't come often either. Shout out to my guide, Nuth, who took great care of three of us - gave us a great introduction to the market and temples, and fed us with different fruits lol! In the trip, you will take three boat rides. The trip started from the hotel pickup at 0730 and ended at 1300.
