such a great pass to get especially if you are DIY-ing your visits to Kamakura, Hakone. For a 3 day mobile pass, that we only utilized for 2 days, this was such a bargain versus doing the guided tours.
The view, the scene, the place is beautiful. althought I didn't manage to see the Tori because Typhoon Jangmi is near, I really satisfy with the pass, all smooth and no problem at all. I buy the phsycal ticket because I dont't want to keep on open my mobile to show the ticket with the weathers unstable.. transport included: pass area coverage: price: redemption guide:
Hakone is an absolutely stunning place to visit. it's a shame we didn't have time to stay overnight here. the journey needs to be started early in the morning to fully enjoy the scenery. we should have spent a night here
Great value for money. The digital version is easy to use, but each person needs their own QR code to travel. Alternatively, you can have a paper pass, but you'll need to go to the Odakyu station to convert it.
the hakone free pass is easy to use and able to access to all the attractions! recommended to buy it from Klook but you have to open Klook app to show the QR code, sometimes if your mobile connection is not good it will take some time to generate
Highly recommended if you want to explore Hakone with ease. This pass covers main attractions and access to transportation which makes it very convenient. One mistake we did was thinking that it's a 2 days pass, we could use it again the next day but it doesn't work once you exit Hakone. (We traveled from Tokyo and didn't plan to stay overnight in Hakone). So we had to buy the pass again the next day to reenter Hakone.
chose to redeem physical tickets just in case Internet connection got disrupted, otherwise electronic tickets should be convenient too. service centre is actl not too difficult to locate in Shinjuku Station. just follow the signs in the station will do.
although I didn’t use it to its fullest potential , It’s still a great value for money if you’re coming from Shinjuku are going back to Shinjuku from Hakone! I was able to write the bus several times, boat once, and even the train twice during my stay there because of this pass! make sure you have stable Wi-Fi to access the QR code! highly recommend to anyone this pass if you are gonna be staying in Hakone for at least three days!
Easy pass redemption on the Odakyu Tourism Office located in Shinjuku West. I was able to visit different places in Hakone with my free pass using train, cable car and buses that is covered by it and ride the pirate ship. I just show my paper ticket to the driver or to the station staff. Just be careful not to lose it. Overall, it is a good value for money and can have discounts in other spots too.
The 3-Day Hakone Free Pass was super worth it and very convenient. It made getting around Hakone so easy—we didn’t have to worry about buying tickets every time, and we could just enjoy the trip. Used it for trains, buses, ropeway, cable car, and the pirate ship, so it definitely saved us money. Perfect if you plan to explore Hakone at a relaxed pace over a few days.
