Hobbiton Movie Set & The Green Dragon Inn One-day Guided & Sightseeing Tour

Even on a rainy day, the Hobbiton Movie Set tour was amazing! Our guide was super friendly and informative, and he managed the time so well that we got to enjoy every part of the trip. The buffet lunch was really good too, and ending at The Green Dragon Inn made it extra special. Such a memorable experience—highly recommended!

Nice to join this tour travelling from Auckland to Rotorua, including a half day tour at Hobbitton. Hobitton has a must go place in North Island and feeling myself in fairytale world with many cute Hobbit houses. Love the apple cider drink in Green Dragon Inn and the Party lunch buffet is so delicious!

Realy expensive but comfortable. It's expensive, but I couldn't give up on Hobbiton. I was scared because the driver's seat was opposite, but I regret that I should have rented a car. The Green Dragon lunch wasn't delicious, and the meal time was too short, 40 minutes. Nevertheless, it was so nice to go to Hobbiton, and the non-alcoholic ginger something was delicious.

The Hobbiton Village is very, very beautiful on a rainy day. Believe me, it's worth it. But the buffet is average, only the fried cod is delicious. Why can you only upload six photos? It's really beautiful.

Was ok but way too expensive for what it is. Basically you are paying a premium price for the transportation. Our driver Rachel was funny and knowledgeable about New Zealand which was a good thing.

Overall this was a great tour to Hobitton . The guides commentary was incredibly insightful and interesting on the journey there . The actual Hobitton itself was awesome. It’s interesting to see and learn how the magic was done .

yes, it's pricey but it's a great activity for LOTR fans. for non-fans, it's still enjoyable. lots of interesting information on how the props and design went into the movie making.

This was almost the only way to get to Rotorua from Auckland while visiting the Hobbiton. Highly recommended for Lord of the Rings and Hobbit lovers. Lunch was not what I expected - just a normal buffet, not a "party" atmosphere. However, the quality of the food itself was not bad. I was the last person on the bus to Rotorua and there was no seat! They were not careful about the actual number of people on board. I had to feel sorry for one mother who had her child on her lap all the way.

I had a great time. tour guides were great as well. I just hoped GreatSights didn't give us stress as they apparently forgot to pick us up at Movenpick Hotel. Klook's contact number couldn't be reached as well. Good thing a GreatSights (public) bus driver helped us. Other than that, tour was really good, I enjoyed it.
