We visited Oxbow Adventure Co. in Queenstown and had an amazing time, though the experience was definitely short for the price. The team was energetic, friendly, and clearly very experienced, and the whole venue felt professional, clean, and purpose-built for high-adrenaline fun. The jet sprint boat was the absolute highlight — incredibly fast, sharp turns, and unlike anything you can do elsewhere. The off-road buggies and shooting were also really enjoyable, with great guidance from the staff. My only real criticism is the duration. Each activity is intense and exciting, but over surprisingly quickly, so the overall value feels a bit unbalanced. Still, if you’re looking for a premium, well-run, action-packed burst of thrill in Queenstown, Oxbow delivers. Just go in knowing it’s short but unforgettable.
One of the most interesting activities in New Zealand. The instructor's emotional intelligence is on point. Very free to play with the guns. After getting used to reloading and recoil, it's basically self-service. The instructor just helps choose the skeet launch points.
Instructor: Provides a very enthusiastic introduction, praises good shots enthusiastically, and encourages even when shots are bad. Delivers great emotional value. Equipment: Includes double-barreled, semi-automatic, and pump-action types. You can have fun shooting with each type.
it was a fun experience overall, shooting, jet boat and off roading but could be longer overall had a super great time
