Northern Lights Photography Tour from Rovaniemi

Booked an aurora tour for 1026 HKD (Klook). Didn't catch the aurora, but caught the moonlight. Meeting point was at 20:00 in Rovaniemi city center. I have to say, the cold-weather gear they provided was really amazing!! We changed clothes upon arrival, and shoes were also provided. Then we waited for the other tour members to arrive before getting on the bus together. The ride was about 50-60 minutes to an outdoor campsite. The guides would start a fire first to make sure everyone wouldn't get cold outside. Then a group of people gathered in the tent to eat reindeer sausage, drink hot blueberry juice, and roast marshmallows. Everyone chatted while waiting for the aurora to appear. You could also go out and take pictures. There was a professional photographer in the group. After waiting for an hour, the guide said that the probability of seeing the aurora today was low. Everyone could also have the photographer take some pictures to leave some memories. We departed around 20:15, arrived at the campsite at 21:20, and left at 23:00. Then they took us to two other campsites to wait briefly, without getting off the bus, while the guide checked for auroras. There were no auroras at either location. We ran to a total of three spots. Finally, we returned to the city center around 00:45. The whole process was quite fun. Gathering around a campfire with people from different places and having a barbecue was also a special experience.

This was our second lights chasing after the first one in Norway and i have to say the comfortability that the team provided such as tents with fire to keep us warm, bbqs and hot berry juices as well were all taken care of. Not to say the lights chasing was more extraordinary this time but this is purely due to luck. Would def come back to them if i were to visit Rovaniemi again!

Thanks to the clear skies, we were treated to some really strong and active Northern Lights displays. It was breathtaking! What really stood out was how well they took care of us as a family with a baby. They arranged convenient hotel pickup and drop-off, made sure we were comfortable the entire time, and went out of their way to help with everything. It made the whole experience stress-free and truly family-friendly.

I would really like to thank Ricardo and Joy for giving us the most beautiful experience in the world. We came to Finland for our honeymoon solely to see the Aurora Borealis, and we were so eager to see it. Thankfully, we were able to witness the beautiful Aurora dancing, and my husband was able to check off an item on his bucket list!! The photos that Ricardo took for us were so beautiful, and I am eagerly awaiting the day I receive them! Also, after receiving Joy's wonderful video, I was able to relive the emotions of that day. If I come to Finland again, I will definitely visit again!!! Thank you so much for completing the most important moment of our trip! :)♡

the most amazing and wonderful aurora chasing activity ever! the tour company will contact you in advance for the pickup point and time, please do check your email for the update. this tour is operated in a small group, you can enjoy the time with the team closely. the tour guide is amazing, knowledgeable and professional, he took care every of us, and shared some myths about aurora and artic culture, which is interesting!

The guide was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making the entire journey enjoyable and smooth. His insights and enthusiasm really added to the magic of seeing the Aurora. Highly recommended!

It’s luckly enough to see the aurora light under only KP 2 in the prediction. Tour brought us to around 1hr driving away from Rovaniemi to ensure there’s no light pollution so that we can see the aurora directly.
