it was one for the books. very memorable experience for my family. for the teens, it's gonna be in their core memory. we got the chance to learn about what happened to pearl harbor on dec 7, 1941. there wasn't much time per site. but I would recommend this again
I've been watching war movies, now I was able to see it in person. Very informative!!! Was worth the time and money.
Awesome experience. Bus driver also entertaining. However abit rushing If visiting Pearl Harbour in 1 day.
Overall great tour and experience. Highly recommend this trip because USS Missouri and Aviation museum is on Ford Island, which is a current government installation so if you decide to DIY, you will have to make sure you get the clearance and security approval beforehand. Tour does security check for you, so one less hassle. You get about 1 hour at each location which is more than enough to experience it.
The attractions themselves were great and I would recommend going to see them, but this tour was not worth the money at all. This is not a 'tour' - this is just admission, lunch and bus transfers. The driver waits on the bus and you do your own thing at each stop. He means well, but overcomplicated every instruction to the point that you just needed to guess what to do next. The whole day felt rushed, but at the same time felt like it dragged on as we were unsure what to do and when. If I were to come here again, I would just catch a local bus (TheBus) to the attractions and do them myself with an actual tour guide or a self-guided audio tour.
Good to know
- NO BAG POLICY: The US Department of the Interior has declared a “no bags” policy at Pearl Harbor. Passengers may not carry any concealing items including purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, etc. Small cameras are permitted but must not be in a bag. No items are allowed to be left on your tour vehicle. When going over to Ford Island to visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and/or the Battleship Missouri, guests are required to carry government issued photo identification and NO BAGS are allowed on the vehicle. Ford Island is an active military base and guests may be asked by security personnel at any time for their identification to ensure a safe environment for all. It is recommended to bring on tour only vital items like your identification and wallet as long as these items fit in your pockets.
- On occasion and due to external factors outside of our control (including inclement weather, closure of the Memorial by the National Park Service and/or shortages of boat launch tickets), there is the possibility of not being able to visit the Arizona Memorial during your visit.
