What to expect
Our most popular shared group tour, Visit a boutique vineyard for a guided wine tasting, complemented by gourmet tastes such as Te Matuku Bay oysters and local Waiheke honey. Visit Allpress Estate for an informative olive oil tasting At the second vineyard, enjoy a wine and food pairing, followed by a relaxed, family-style lunch showcasing seasonal flavours in a beautiful vineyard setting. The final stop is at The Heke, for a small-batch craft whisky, or simply enjoy a glass of local wine in a laid back setting.
Due to seasonal availability, Te Matuku oysters may not be available but they will be substituted with another gourmet treat.
We recommend catching the 9am Fullers ferry or 9.15am Island Direct Ferry from Downtown Aucklandat the latest to make the tour start time.
Good to know
The ferry to Waiheke can be very busy in summer. We recommend purchasing your ferry tickets online prior to travel and arriving at the ferry terminal in Auckland nice and early - especially in the busy summer months. The ferry is loaded on a first come first serve basis.

The tour guide is very nice and talkative.
This was a very good itinerary. The tour guide took everyone to different wineries for wine tasting. They also got to know the tourists who participated on the same day. Everyone had a great time drinking.
I went to 4 wineries and was very satisfied. On the other hand, after going to 4 places, I think there was too little time to see the scenery other than wine tasting. Still, if I go to Auckland again, I will go on the Waiheke Wai Tour.
Tour was carried out by Anandas tour. Guide was friendly but the tour was pretty rushed. Visited 3 wineries and 1 olive mill. The lunch included was more like a charcuterie board rather than a proper lunch. Klook side screwed up badly as the voucher I purchased says that ferry ticket was included. Thank god I called the tour company before going and learnt that the ferry wasn’t included. Had a couple of chats with klook experience specialists before my trip but nothing was done to resolve the issue. In the end had to purchase my own ticket and seek a refund from klook (which they ultimately return but it wasn’t a pleasant process). Was very frustrated with the online chat function as there were no number to call.
This was a wonderful tour. Stew was our guide and driver and he was a big part of why it was so enjoyable. The 4 wineries we visited and enjoyed tasting/food were well chosen. Small, boutique with passionate wine makers. Highly recommended.
