Zipline into Ōkoheriki, a rare ancient forest of 1,000-year-old giant trees. Reach up 80 km/h between treetop platforms 20 m high, cross suspended swing bridges, and spot native birds - you might even hand-feed a wild toutouwai (bird). Two adventures to choose from: • Original Canopy Tour (2.5 hrs, 6yrs+): six ziplines (to 220 m), swing bridges, close-up nature and birdsong. • Ultimate Canopy Tour (3 hrs, 10yrs+): longer, steeper lines, a 400 m tandem race, a floating staircase, and NZ’s only volcanic cliff walkway.

It’s a great trip. Not only can you get to know this redwood forest, but you can also learn about its kiwi, its ecology and its restoration plan. The entertaining and educational approach allows everyone to get close to nature in different ways. The staff on the day, Paul/Jono/Mitch, were also very good at stirring up the atmosphere, allowing my 70-year-old family to overcome obstacles and enjoy Zipline for the first time in their lives!
The entire experience was simply amazing. Canopy tours Rotorua is one of the must do activity while you are in New Zealand. Our guides for the day Fran and Alex were a great bunch of people, simply wonderful. They ensured we had a great time in the forest, taking care of our safety and making the group comfortable about the activity and also sensitise about the forest safety measures. I would definitely recommend this.
Great activity. Very exciting and fun guides. A must do if you are in the region. Paying via Klook seems to be cheaper than directly from their website maybe because of the exchange rate or something else. Learnt quite abit on the forest within NZ as well, good for kids, adult.
It was a great trip. We walked in the redwood forest and the leader explained some natural ecological knowledge to everyone along the way. The scenery of the zipline is really beautiful and a novel experience. It also includes clothing rental and photo taking, and you can download photos on the cloud.
I did the other zip line tour as well at redwoods altitude and this is definitely longer. the cliff walk was amazing, wish it was longer! I had a fear of heights but the guides were super friendly and helpful. definitely go for this one if you want more scenic views of the forest. the trees are so majestic.

It was great fun exploring the area! The guides were amazing - very friendly, knowledgable, experienced and most of all, were a lot of fun throughout the whole experience! They made everyone on the tour comfortable and even shared little fun facts over the course of the tour. The ziplines were a lot of fun, different heights and distances. Proper gears were provided - jackets and helmets for safety and also to protect from the cold weather (do wear proper clothing still to protect yourself from the weather). Transport was provided to and fro, and there was a photo op that was free for download after the activity. Overall, it was plenty of fun being in the nature and learning from the superb guides. Highly recommend to go for this!
really great experience! It was our first-time ziplining. Interesting guided tour and fun experience. For the first time, original canopy is already exciting enough to bring open to have our second time :)
My husband and I had so much fun! I thought the experience fee was a bit expensive, but it turns out that through this experience program, they use a lot for environmental costs to preserve New Zealand's forests :) After hearing the explanation, it was not a waste of money! I liked the dense New Zealand forest, and it was nice to be able to enjoy Mother Nature! The guides in New Zealand are really kind~~ I highly recommend it if you are traveling to Rotorua North Island!!
