Reviews
it was a great experience for us. have seen the Dolphins and the best was snorkeling: have seen variety of fish and the only turtle we saw. We have a very good guide while under water taking the go pro photos. Virgin island not impressive coz there is private property which does not allow anyone to go walking in the beach front. The overall experience is best and we enjoyed the tour.
boat condition: very good scenic views on board: Amazing guide: good safety: very good itinerary: wonderful and highly recommended
super worth it! our van met us in mcdo Alona to take us to the port together with the other tourists. You’ll have your own private boat for the island hopping, you get to decide where you’d like to stay longer. First stop dolphin sight seeing. At first, of course I did hope for us to see the dolphins so I asked ate our guide from the start what the chances are, she didn’t make any assurance but mentioned that hopefully they will show up as they are considered wild animals, lo and behold we have seen a lot of them in different places afterwards, they were like playing with all of us! It was breathtaking!!! Next stop Balicasag here we met another kuya (Anthony) who took us to the snorkeling area, you’d see how excited he was to show the Pawikan to us everytime it will be spotted. 3rd stop Virgin Island (another view island to behold) it has the white sand bar but since it was high tide when we got there, we decided to just stay in the island where our children can enjoy swimming. 💗
It was truly a wonderful experience. Tay Oppng picked us up at exactly 6am. Kuya Erwin, our guide and boatman was also very helpful and reliable. We were very lucky to see the dolphins that day. Then we went snorkeling to see the sea turtle and the many schools of fish. After snorkeling, we ate at the restaurant nearby which we paid extra coz it ain’t part of the package. We went home soon after. the trip lasted for a little over 4 hours.
No dolphin when we had our trip so we went to Balicasag Island and take some photos and went back to the pick up area.
Unfortunately there's no dolphin during our tour but we enjoyed snorkeling in the Balicasag Island. The tour guide is nice.
First time diving, lots of worries! The driver was supposed to pick us up around 5:30 AM, but he was on time and arrived at the door. I was just about to ask the hotel staff to help me make a call when he showed up. Later, we waited at the site until many groups arrived, and then they started assigning us to different departures. There were many surprises after we set sail. Although there weren't many dolphins, there were a LOT of boats 😅. Later, we went to the island and changed to a different instructor. There were 6 of us, but the elders and a teenager didn't want to go in the water. Only 4 of us participated in the activity. I highly recommend renting a GoPro to add to the wonderful memories. The instructor was great at leading, and he was amazing at taking photos and videos while snorkeling and watching the fish. He pulled the boat along with the sea turtles, so even those of us who were too scared to go in the water got to see the sea turtles (because it was deeper). A very good trip, highly recommended!
Although the morning itinerary was a bit tiring, the overall trip was quite good. I wish we could have had more time at Virgin Island; half an hour wasn't quite enough. We also had to wait in line at almost every attraction.
I recently went on a private Panglao Island Hopping and Dolphin Watching Tour in Bohol, and it was an incredible experience! The highlights were not only seeing the dolphins in their natural habitat—so majestic and playful—but also the amazing snorkeling at Balicasag Island. We started early in the morning, with Rayan, the boat driver, making sure we had the best dolphin sightings from our private boat. Afterward, we went snorkeling on a small boat with Stephen, who was absolutely amazing and tireless in finding sea turtles for us. We saw so many turtles, and the best part was snorkeling in peaceful spots, far from the crowds. The water was crystal clear, and the marine life was stunning. Although the Virgin Islands were closed to the public, we appreciated the honesty and professionalism of the crew, as they refunded us the entrance fee for the Virgin Islands without us even asking. I was also really impressed by the punctuality and professionalism of everyone involved, from the organization to the boat crew. Everything ran smoothly and exceeded expectations. The tour was well-organized, and both Rayan and Stephen made the experience safe, fun, and truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bohol—it’s a perfect adventure with beautiful views, incredible marine life, and fantastic guides!
Thanks to the professional captain Robert we were able to spot the dolphins for a minute and do a video. As there are lots of boats around, the dolphins escape the area as soon as they hear the engines. Some boats simply don't care and are driving after the dolphins which is sad. The tour was good especially with the snorkeling. It would have been great if we were earlier than at 07.30 at the dolphin viewing because they prefer to swim early in the morning. Boat condition: it's a noisy drive due to the engine noise, the boat is a wooden one, but safe as the captain was skillful. It can be tricky if there are waves. Itinerary: nice though on Balicasag locals approach a lot and try to sell their goods or offer to order lunch. The transfer was nicely organized, our snorkeling guide Jacob was a great and helpful instructor.
