First of all, the car pick-up was very punctual, and the driver was enthusiastic and chatty along the way. The tour guide is a professional and local resident of Dharavi. Before the visit, there is an explanation about Mumbai and Dharavi, as well as a detailed explanation of the tour route and the cultural background behind it. The biggest message he wants to send to the world is - here people are all working hard to make a living, and they care to make a better living for their future generations too. And it was all hard working and friendly faces we met, even though the working and living conditions were tough.
