What to Expect from Puerto Princesa City Tour
Puerto Princesa is more than its scenic surroundings, the famous underground river, and beautiful beaches, it's also a location full of amazing cultural spots that are vital to every tourist's visit. You’ll be conveniently picked up at your hotel by your guide before heading to the first stop. Arrive at the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, a valuable sanctuary that protects local animals and the fauna found within the region. Established in 1987, the center is a breeding place for Philippine crocodiles as well as home to a few endangered animals. You'll not only be able to observe freshwater and saltwater crocodiles, you also get to pet some baby crocs too! Get to see other animals such as ostriches and bearcats. Then it's off to Mitra's Ranch, which gives you a spectacular panoramic hilltop view of Puerto Princesa. You'll find yourself craving for a sweet treat when you hit your next spot at Baker's Hill, which is famed all over the Philippines for its sweet delicacies, with everything from cashew nuts, hopia, brownies, and more local delicacies that are perfect for snacking and bringing home as souvenirs. Your next location will be at Binatuan Creations' Weaving Loom Center. Here, you'll be able to see and even try making handloom woven products and items made from indigenous fibers, which are vital to Palawan’s local economy. You'll then visit the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, a historically poignant location which held the first Catholic Mass in Puerto Princesa during the Spanish Era. More Spanish-era history will be found in the Plaza Cuartel which was used as a garrison by Spanish soldiers during World War 2. You'll end the tour with some time to stroll down the Promenade and Baywalk, as well as purchasing some souvenirs at the gift shops before heading back to your hotel.

Reviews
I recently did a Puerto Princesa city tour, and it was definitely a mixed bag. For me, the standout highlights were the Tribal Village and Butterfly Farm. Hearing the local tribe play guitar and watching them demonstrate blow darts was honestly pretty inspiring—it’s not often you get to see people still embracing such a traditional way of life. The Butterfly Farm was just a nice, peaceful spot with a relaxing vibe. Baker’s Hill, on the other hand, was a bit on the cheesy side with all those cartoon character statues and random decor. But I can see how kids would enjoy it, and if you’re into snapping quirky Instagram shots, you’ll have plenty to work with. Mitra’s Ranch, though, was a hard pass. The view was just okay at best, and aside from grabbing ice cream at the little café, there wasn’t much to make the detour worthwhile. The Crocodile Farm was pretty cool in the sense that you get to see massive crocs that make you realize how tiny you are, along with some adorable baby ones. Still, the enclosures felt a bit dull—just concrete and fencing. As for the church they took us to, it didn’t really do anything for me. It felt like every other church I’ve ever seen, and I’m not sure why it’s included as a “must-visit.” All in all, the city tour had a few memorable stops but also a few that felt like fillers. If you’re short on time, hit the Tribal Village, Butterfly Farm, and maybe the Crocodile Farm—and skip the rest so it may be worth hiring a private driver if you can afford it instead.
I highly recommend the overall experience in this City Tour. I love the educational experience you get as well as a polite and friendly guide that will also insist in taking pictures for you and also for ₱800 you get to visit 8 tourist city spots in Puerto Princesa. I enjoyed all the itinerary and the best part is they will pick you up in your hotels and drop you off wherever you want which is a big plus in my opinion. Thank you for this wonderful experience 🩷
Great half day tour around the city of Puerto Princesa most especially if you only have few hours to spare. We appreciate our tour guide Diana who was accommodating and really knowledgeable of the tour sites. We were able to go to 8 places within 4 hours.
I love the Tour, worth the price. The Tour took a bit longer tgan expected due to the Butterfly Garden Sidetrip but it was an awesome experience. Take note to buy pasalubong in the Souvenir Shop and Baker's Hill, it's much much cheaper than the shops on other sites/places.
Short but very informative! Our tour guide Mark and driver Chong safely brought us to different tourist spots in Puerto Princesa City. Recommended for first time visitors!
The shuttle arrived 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, but other than that it went smoothly. The stay was a little short, but I think it was compact and good. The crocodile park, Bakery Hills, and church were fun, and water and snacks were included, so I thought it was a great deal for the price. For an additional 60 pesos, we were able to take photos with baby crocodiles, which was a great memory.
We are enjoyed our day tour. and our tour guide was very helpful. she explained every details where we are going . it helps a lot to know the history of Palawan and the best tourist spot as well
It was okay. You will learn the history of Puetyo Princesa in a half day tour. Oh I love the bakers hill. I bouth boxes of Hopia for pasalubong. There’s a ride in Mitra’s Hill if you wanna have fun.
It was a fun and very comprehensive activity. Mark, our guide, shares his knowledge with kindness and is also attentive to our questions and needs. The attractions along the way allowed me to see the reality of the port and relax at the same time. The itinerary was sufficient and interesting. The group had cultural diversity and perfect integration. The car driver was very respectful and friendly. Thank you. I will return as soon as I can.
Great value for money, good way to start off your Puerto Princesa vacation. To see and experience the iconic places to visit here. Highly recommended.
