Good to know
- Arrive Early – Get to the surf school 15-20 minutes before your lesson to settle in, ask questions, and get fitted for your gear.
- Hydrate – Drink water before and after your lesson. Surfing can be intense, and staying hydrated will help you perform at your best.
- Wear Sunscreen – Protect your skin with waterproof sunscreen, even on cloudy days. Reapply if you’re out in the sun for a while.
- What to Wear – We provide wetsuit, but make sure to wear comfortable swimwear underneath. Don’t forget a towel and a change of clothes! Don’t Worry About Falling – Falling is part of the learning process. Stay relaxed, and keep trying! Your instructor will guide you through it. Know Your Limits – Be honest with your instructor about your fitness level. We’ll adjust the lesson to your comfort zone, so it’s okay to take breaks if needed. Respect the Ocean – Always listen to your instructor and follow safety guidelines. The ocean is powerful, and we want you to stay safe while having fun. Have Fun & Be Patient – Surfing is a journey. Celebrate the small wins, whether it’s catching a wave or just getting out there! Tip Your Instructor – If you had an awesome lesson, consider showing your appreciation with a tip. It goes a long way! Check the Surf Forecast – Stay informed about the surf conditions on the day of your lesson to mentally prepare for the waves!
